With the Autumn creeping up on us fast we are now in full swing organising our next initiative, BIMA Digital Day.
For
those of you who remember we ran the event with 4 schools last year for
50 students ranging from year 7 to year 13. All students were competing
to win locally and to go on and compete nationally in the BIMA Digital
Day.
The competition has been running since 2012 providing a connection between schools and industry and shows students the vast range of jobs in the Digital sector and how they can get involved. This year we will be changing things and running over two days with years 12 & 13 on the 11th of November and years 9 & 10 on the 12th.
Both
days will be run with industry speakers attending in the morning to
explain the projects then the competing teams will be working on working
on their projects all afternoon ready to present to the judges as well
as family and friends in the evening.
We
are working hard to get the event off the ground and need more help
from the local digital community to volunteer on the day and or
beforehand.
If you think you could help in any way, please fill out our help sheet below.
